AAP Editor Wins Arts Writers Grant

by The Editors

Late at night, HG MASTERS works on closing AAP 57 in the old ArtAsiaPacific office, New York, April 2008.

ArtAsiaPacific is very proud of its editor-at-large, HG Masters, and one of our contributing writers, Alexander Keefe, who were recipients of Creative Capital | Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grants during the 2010 grant cycle. Congratulations!

The grants are “designed to encourage and reward writing about contemporary art that is rigorous, passionate, eloquent and precise, as well as to create a broader audience for arts writing.” These are very same things we strive to achieve with AAP, so we are honored to see one of our own receive recognition for this.

You can read many of HG’s articles on ArtAsiaPacific.com, including his features on Guy Ben-NerRaqs Media CollectiveAn-My LêYoko Ono and Mona Hatoum.

Alexander’s feature review of “Hanging Fire: Contemporary Art from Pakistan,” held at New York’s Asia Society, was published in AAP 68 (May/June, 2010).
