On a 2010 trip to North Korea, photojournalist Steve Gong filmed some of the only HD video footage ever recorded inside the Communist state, without the permission of the government. To evade the eyes of the officials, Gong covered the back of his 5D Mark ll camera with black electrical tape, which he hung around his neck, and left the video function running, capturing rare scenes from daily life in Pyongyang.
Steve Gong is based in New York, London and Beijing. See more of his work here and here.
