CAMP is a collaborative project that connects and interacts with independent art and media projects across the city of Mumbai. “CAMP” is an acronym that changes each time the project’s website reloads, including such meanings as “Commons Art as Meta Practice” and “Campaign Around Magical Promises.” Their work encompasses short- and long-term projects that explore issues relating to media, its history and methods of distribution.
ArtAsiaPacific met with Shaina Anand and Ashok Sukumaran of CAMP, at the New Museum in New York, where they told us about the origin of the project’s name, and CAMP’s role as an inclusive organization that generates and produces various multidisciplinary projects.
