In 1977, a group of cultural practitioners came together in Modinagar to form the first annual workshop for the Khoj International Artists’ Association. Fifteen years later and now based out of Delhi, Khoj has mobilized countless artistic communities in South Asia, fostering cross-cultural connections and nurturing alternative, experimental practices. For this third episode of the ArtAsiaPacific Podcast, we speak with Khoj founding member and director Pooja Sood, and curator and programs manager Mario D’Souza, to trace the extraordinary history of the nonprofit organization.
