In April, Hong Kong graffiti artist Cpak Ming projected an image of artist Ai Weiwei‘s face—accompanied by the words "Who’s Afraid of Ai Weiwei?"—onto the exterior walls of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) harbor-front barracks in Hong Kong. Below are more images from Cpak Ming’s project, which took place across various locations in Hong Kong.
The brief artistic stunt was captured on camera and uploaded onto Cpak Ming’s Facebook. Though the project left no physical trace on site, it has been reported that a PLA spokesman in Hong Kong said the projection breached Hong Kong laws and the PLA would “reserve its legal rights” to act.
